Project Abstract

<p><br>Farm machinery is one of the major capital investments for farmers. However, small and marginal farmers are unable to individually own expensive farm equipment. This leads to under-utilization of machinery and higher production costs. Farm machinery sharing business models have emerged as an alternative where farmers can hire machinery on rental basis. This project aims to analyze different farm machinery sharing business models prevalent in India and evaluate their technical and financial feasibility. Key parameters like types of machinery shared, rental rates, utilization levels, and profitability will be studied. The project will help identify the most suitable machinery sharing models for different agro-climatic regions and farm sizes.<br><br><br></p>
