Project Abstract
Taxation is a crucial tool for government revenue generation and economic development. This study aims to investigate the impact of taxation as an aid to economic development in Nigeria, with a focus on Edo State. The research will analyze the various forms of taxation in Edo State and assess how these taxes contribute to the economic development of the state. By examining the tax policies, compliance levels, and revenue generation processes in Edo State, this study seeks to provide insights into the effectiveness of taxation in driving economic growth. The methodology for this research involves a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches.
