The efficacy of various acne treatments in this age group remains a topic of interest and debate among dermatologists and researchers. This research project aims to investigate the effectiveness of different acne treatments in adolescents, focusing on topical, oral, and combination therapies. The study begins with a comprehensive review of existing literature on acne pathogenesis, treatment options, and outcomes in adolescents. Various factors influencing acne development and response to treatment, such as hormonal changes, genetics, and lifestyle, will be explored in the literature review section. Methodologically, this research will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of treatment outcomes with qualitative data on patient experiences and preferences. The research methodology will include a randomized controlled trial comparing the efficacy of commonly used acne treatments in adolescents, supplemented by surveys and interviews to gather patient perspectives.
