Abstract
This research project aims to investigate the efficacy of herbal remedies in treating acne through a comparative study. Acne is a common skin condition that affects individuals of all ages, leading to physical and psychological distress. The conventional treatments for acne often come with side effects, driving individuals to seek alternative remedies such as herbal therapies. However, there is limited scientific evidence on the effectiveness of herbal remedies in treating acne compared to conventional medications. This study seeks to fill this gap by conducting a comparative analysis of the efficacy of herbal remedies versus traditional acne treatments. The research will be structured into five main chapters. Chapter One provides an introduction to the study, presenting the background information on acne, the problem statement, research objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two is dedicated to a comprehensive literature review, analyzing existing studies on herbal remedies and conventional treatments for acne to provide a theoretical framework for the research. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, detailing the research design, sampling techniques, data collection methods, and data analysis procedures. The methodology aims to ensure the reliability and validity of the study findings. Chapter Four presents the discussion of findings, including the comparative analysis of the efficacy of herbal remedies and conventional treatments in managing acne. The chapter will also explore factors influencing treatment outcomes and potential implications for clinical practice. In conclusion, Chapter Five provides a summary of the research findings, highlighting key discoveries, implications for healthcare practice, and recommendations for future research.
