Abstract
The removal of dental plaque through effective toothbrushing techniques plays a crucial role in maintaining oral health and preventing various dental diseases. This research project aims to assess the efficacy of different toothbrushing techniques in plaque removal among individuals of diverse age groups. The study involves a comprehensive literature review to evaluate existing evidence on the effectiveness of various toothbrushing methods. Additionally, a quantitative research methodology will be employed to collect primary data on plaque removal outcomes using different toothbrushing techniques. Chapter one of the research provides an introduction to the study, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and definition of key terms. The literature review in chapter two critically examines ten relevant studies on toothbrushing techniques and their impact on plaque removal. Chapter three details the research methodology, including the research design, participant selection criteria, data collection methods, ethical considerations, and data analysis procedures. In chapter four, the discussion of findings presents a detailed analysis of the data collected, comparing the efficacy of different toothbrushing techniques in plaque removal. The discussion also explores factors influencing the effectiveness of these techniques and their implications for oral health practices. Finally, chapter five offers a comprehensive conclusion and summary of the research, highlighting key findings, implications for dental care, recommendations for future research, and concluding remarks.
