Tele-dentistry is a growing area of interest in the field of dentistry, offering a potential solution to address the disparity in access to dental care in rural populations. This research aims to assess the efficacy of tele-dentistry in providing dental care to rural communities. The study will focus on evaluating the impact of tele-dentistry on improving access to dental services, patient satisfaction, and oral health outcomes in rural areas. Chapter 1 introduces the research topic, providing background information on the challenges faced by rural populations in accessing dental care and the potential benefits of tele-dentistry in overcoming these challenges. The problem statement highlights the gap in access to dental services in rural areas and the need to explore alternative methods such as tele-dentistry. The objectives of the study include assessing the effectiveness of tele-dentistry, identifying limitations of the approach, defining the scope of the research, and emphasizing the significance of the study in addressing oral health disparities. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive literature review on tele-dentistry, rural dental care access, and the impact of technology on healthcare delivery. The review includes ten key items covering topics such as the history of tele-dentistry, current applications in dental practice, patient perspectives, and outcomes of tele-dental interventions in rural settings. Chapter 3 outlines the research methodology, detailing the study design, population sample, data collection methods, variables, data analysis techniques, ethical considerations, and potential biases. The chapter includes eight contents related to the research approach, data collection procedures, and statistical analysis methods employed in the study. Chapter 4 presents the findings of the research, discussing the efficacy of tele-dentistry in providing dental care to rural populations based on the analysis of collected data. The chapter includes seven items focusing on access to care, patient satisfaction, oral health outcomes, cost-effectiveness, and challenges encountered in implementing tele-dental services in rural settings. Chapter 5 concludes the research by summarizing the key findings, discussing implications for dental practice and policy, highlighting the contributions of the study to the field of tele-dentistry, and providing recommendations for future research and practice. The conclusion emphasizes the potential of tele-dentistry to improve access to dental care for rural populations and enhance overall oral health outcomes.
