Tele-dentistry, the remote provision of dental care services utilizing telecommunication technologies, is a rapidly evolving field that has the potential to revolutionize the delivery of dental care and improve access to services. This research project aims to investigate the effectiveness of tele-dentistry in enhancing access to dental care, particularly in underserved and remote areas. The study will explore how tele-dentistry can address barriers to accessing traditional dental services, such as geographic distance, cost, and shortage of dental professionals. The research will be guided by a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with dental professionals and patients who have utilized tele-dentistry services. A comprehensive literature review will be conducted to examine the current state of tele-dentistry, including its benefits, challenges, and potential impact on oral health outcomes.
