This study aims to evaluate the impact of different types of sugar on dental health. While the association between sugar consumption and dental caries is well-established, there is limited research comparing the effects of various sugars, including sucrose, fructose, glucose, and others, on oral health. This research will involve in vitro experiments as well as a systematic review of clinical studies to assess the cariogenic potential of different sugars. The findings of this study could inform dietary recommendations for the prevention of dental caries.
