Body-worn cameras (BWCs) have become increasingly prevalent in law enforcement agencies as a tool to enhance transparency, accountability, and trust between police officers and the communities they serve. This research project aims to conduct a comprehensive criminological analysis to examine the impact of body-worn cameras on police use of force and citizen complaints. The study will investigate the effectiveness of BWCs in reducing incidents of excessive force by law enforcement officers and improving relations with the public through the reduction of citizen complaints.
