Body-worn cameras have gained significant attention in recent years as a tool to enhance police accountability and rebuild public trust in law enforcement. This research explores the impact of body-worn cameras on police accountability and public trust in law enforcement agencies. The study aims to investigate how the use of body-worn cameras influences police behavior, community perceptions, and the overall effectiveness of law enforcement practices. Through a comprehensive literature review, this research examines the existing studies on the implementation of body-worn cameras and their effects on police-citizen interactions. The research methodology includes both quantitative and qualitative approaches to gather data from police officers, community members, and other key stakeholders. The study employs surveys, interviews, and observational methods to assess the perceptions and experiences of individuals involved in police encounters where body-worn cameras are used. The data collected will be analyzed using statistical techniques and thematic analysis to identify patterns, trends, and correlations related to the impact of body-worn cameras on police accountability and public trust. The findings of this research will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on the effectiveness of body-worn cameras in enhancing police accountability and improving public trust in law enforcement.
