Abstract
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is an agency of the United States Department of Justice that serves as both a federal criminal investigative body and an internal intelligence agency. This research project focuses on the impact of the FBI in Nigeria, particularly in the areas of law enforcement, national security, and capacity building. The FBI has had a significant impact on law enforcement in Nigeria through collaboration and information sharing with Nigerian law enforcement agencies. This partnership has led to the successful investigation and prosecution of high-profile criminal cases, including those related to cybercrime, drug trafficking, and terrorism. The FBI's expertise in forensic analysis, intelligence gathering, and investigative techniques has been instrumental in supporting Nigerian authorities in their efforts to combat crime. In terms of national security, the FBI has played a crucial role in assisting Nigeria in addressing threats from terrorist organizations such as Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
