Thesis Abstract

<p> DNA damage and repair mechanisms play a critical role in maintaining genomic integrity and preventing the development of cancer. This project aims to study the mechanisms of DNA damage and repair in lung cancer, with a focus on understanding the molecular pathways involved in DNA repair defects. Through a combination of molecular biology techniques, genomic analysis, and functional assays, we will investigate the DNA repair capacity of lung cancer cells and identify key genes and pathways associated with DNA repair deficiencies. Additionally, we will explore the impact of DNA repair defects on the response to DNA-damaging agents and potential therapeutic strategies. The findings from this study will contribute to our understanding of the biochemistry of DNA damage and repair in lung cancer and may have implications for personalized treatment approaches. <br></p>
