Thesis Abstract

<p> This project aims to investigate the biochemistry of drug metabolism in the lung, which plays a crucial role in determining the pharmacokinetics and efficacy of drugs administered via inhalation. The project will focus on understanding the metabolic pathways involved in drug metabolism in the lung, including phase I and phase II reactions mediated by enzymes such as cytochrome P450s and UDP-glucuronosyltransferases. Experimental techniques such as in vitro lung models, mass spectrometry, and pharmacokinetic analysis will be employed to study the metabolism of specific drugs in the lung. The findings from this project will contribute to the optimization of drug delivery strategies and the development of personalized medicine approaches for lung diseases. <br></p>
