Abstract
Osteoarthritis is a common degenerative joint disease in dogs, leading to chronic pain and impaired quality of life. The efficacy of pain management protocols in canine osteoarthritis patients is a critical aspect of veterinary medicine, yet there is a lack of comprehensive analysis comparing different treatment strategies. This research aims to investigate and compare the effectiveness of various pain management protocols in improving the quality of life and reducing pain levels in canine osteoarthritis patients. The research methodology involves a systematic review of existing literature on pain management in canine osteoarthritis, including studies on non-pharmacological interventions, pharmacological therapies, and complementary treatments. Ten chapters in the literature review section will explore the current state of knowledge on pain management protocols for canine osteoarthritis, highlighting their mechanisms of action, efficacy, and potential side effects. In the research methodology section, eight chapters will detail the study design, participant selection criteria, data collection methods, and statistical analysis plan. The study will involve a cohort of canine osteoarthritis patients from veterinary clinics, with pain levels assessed using validated pain scoring systems before and after the implementation of different pain management protocols. The data collected will be analyzed using appropriate statistical methods to compare the efficacy of the various treatment strategies. Chapter four will present an in-depth discussion of the research findings, comparing the effectiveness of different pain management protocols in canine osteoarthritis patients. The discussion will highlight the strengths and limitations of each treatment approach and provide insights into the optimal strategies for managing pain in dogs with osteoarthritis. In conclusion, this research project aims to contribute to the current understanding of pain management in canine osteoarthritis by providing a comprehensive analysis of the efficacy of different treatment protocols.
