Abstract
This research project focuses on the investigation of the use of stem cell therapy in treating musculoskeletal disorders in companion animals. Musculoskeletal disorders are prevalent in companion animals, leading to pain, reduced mobility, and decreased quality of life. Stem cell therapy has emerged as a promising treatment modality for musculoskeletal disorders due to its regenerative potential and ability to promote tissue repair. Despite the growing interest in stem cell therapy, there is still a need for comprehensive research to evaluate its efficacy, safety, and long-term outcomes in companion animals. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, background information on musculoskeletal disorders in companion animals, the problem statement, objectives of the study, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two presents a detailed literature review covering ten key topics related to stem cell therapy, musculoskeletal disorders, and companion animals. The literature review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of existing research, identify gaps in knowledge, and establish the theoretical framework for the study. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including the research design, sample selection, data collection methods, stem cell therapy protocols, and outcome measures. This chapter also discusses ethical considerations, data analysis techniques, and quality assurance measures to ensure the validity and reliability of the study findings. Chapter Four presents the results and findings of the research, including the efficacy of stem cell therapy in treating musculoskeletal disorders, clinical outcomes, adverse effects, and patient response to treatment. The discussion in Chapter Four critically analyzes the research findings, compares them with existing literature, and interprets their implications for veterinary practice and animal welfare.
