Abstract
The utilization of probiotics in veterinary medicine has gained significant attention in recent years, with a growing body of research focusing on their potential benefits for animal health. This study aims to explore the impact of probiotics on gastrointestinal health in dogs, specifically assessing their effectiveness in promoting digestive health and overall well-being. The research will involve a comprehensive literature review to examine existing knowledge on probiotics, their mechanisms of action, and their reported effects on gastrointestinal health in dogs. Furthermore, this study will conduct a series of experiments to evaluate the specific strains of probiotics that are most beneficial for enhancing gastrointestinal health in dogs. The research methodology will include both in vitro and in vivo studies to assess the impact of probiotics on the composition of gut microbiota, digestive enzyme activity, nutrient absorption, and overall gastrointestinal function in dogs. The findings from this study will provide valuable insights into the potential role of probiotics as a natural and effective intervention for improving gastrointestinal health in dogs. Additionally, the results will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on probiotics in veterinary medicine and may have implications for the development of novel probiotic formulations specifically tailored for canine health.
