This research project focuses on the implementation and assessment of TOD strategies in urban areas, with a specific emphasis on their effectiveness in promoting sustainable development, reducing congestion, and improving overall urban livability. The study aims to investigate the various components of TOD, including land use planning, transportation infrastructure, and urban design, and assess their impacts on urban development. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms related to TOD and urban planning.
