This research project aims to assess the impact of gentrification on affordable housing in urban neighborhoods, focusing on understanding the underlying mechanisms, challenges, and potential solutions. The study will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative insights from stakeholders and residents. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter 2 comprises a comprehensive literature review covering ten key areas related to gentrification, affordable housing, urban planning, displacement, community impacts, policy interventions, and more. In Chapter 3, the research methodology is detailed, outlining the research design, data collection methods, sampling strategies, data analysis techniques, ethical considerations, and limitations.
