This research project aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the implementation of TOD in urban areas, focusing on its impact, challenges, and opportunities for enhancing urban development. The study will delve into the theoretical framework of TOD, examining the principles and key characteristics that define this planning approach. Additionally, the research will investigate the historical background and evolution of TOD concepts in urban planning practice. The problem statement of this research identifies the growing need for sustainable urban development solutions that can effectively address the issues of traffic congestion, air pollution, and urban sprawl. By focusing on TOD implementation, the study aims to explore how this approach can promote compact, mixed-use developments centered around high-quality public transportation systems.
