One strategy to achieve urban sustainability is through mixed-use development, which integrates diverse land uses within a single neighborhood or district. This research project aims to explore the impact of mixed-use development on urban sustainability, focusing on how it affects environmental quality, economic prosperity, and social cohesion within urban areas. The study begins with a comprehensive review of the literature on mixed-use development and its potential benefits for urban sustainability. It examines how mixed-use development can promote sustainable transportation, reduce urban sprawl, and enhance the overall quality of life for urban residents. Additionally, the literature review investigates the challenges and barriers associated with implementing mixed-use development and identifies best practices for successful implementation. To investigate the impact of mixed-use development on urban sustainability, the research employs a mixed-methods approach.
