Urban heat islands (UHIs) are a pressing environmental issue affecting city centers worldwide, leading to various negative impacts on human health, energy consumption, and overall urban livability. Green infrastructure has emerged as a promising solution to mitigate UHI effects by incorporating natural elements into urban landscapes. This research project aims to assess the impact of green infrastructure on reducing the urban heat island effect in city centers through a comprehensive study that combines field observations, data analysis, and modeling techniques.
