Urban areas have undergone significant transformations in recent years, with mixed-use development emerging as a popular strategy to promote sustainability, efficiency, and community engagement. This research project aims to assess the impact of mixed-use development on urban form and social interaction in various urban settings. By investigating the relationship between mixed-use development and urban form, as well as its influence on social interactions within urban communities, this study seeks to contribute valuable insights to urban planning practices and policies. The research begins with a comprehensive exploration of the background of mixed-use development, highlighting its evolution, principles, and significance in contemporary urban planning. The problem statement emphasizes the need to understand how mixed-use development shapes urban form and influences social dynamics within urban neighborhoods. The objectives of the study are to analyze the effects of mixed-use development on urban morphology and to examine its impact on social interactions among residents and visitors. Recognizing the complexities of urban environments, the study acknowledges certain limitations, such as the diverse nature of mixed-use developments and the challenges of measuring social interactions in public spaces. The scope of the research includes case studies of selected mixed-use developments in different cities, allowing for a comparative analysis of their effects on urban form and social dynamics. The significance of the study lies in its potential to inform urban planners, policymakers, and developers about the benefits and challenges associated with mixed-use development.
