The study will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of academic records and survey data with qualitative interviews to provide a comprehensive understanding of the topic. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two presents a thorough literature review comprising ten key items that explore existing research on factors influencing student performance in higher education.
