This research study investigates the profound impact of social media on the identity formation of youth in the contemporary digital age. The pervasive influence of social media platforms on the lives of young individuals has raised critical concerns regarding the construction and expression of personal identity. Through a comprehensive exploration of existing literature, theoretical frameworks, and empirical research findings, this study aims to shed light on the complex interplay between social media usage and the development of youth identities. The research commences with an in-depth examination of the introduction, providing a contextual backdrop to the study. This includes an overview of the evolution of social media platforms, the increasing prevalence of digital technologies among youth, and the escalating importance of online interactions in shaping identity construction processes. The background of the study delves into the historical trajectory of social media and its transformative effects on communication patterns and social interactions. Subsequently, the problem statement articulates the central research issue of how social media influences the formation of youth identities and the challenges associated with this phenomenon.
