Abstract
The rapid advancement of technology has revolutionized the way organizations manage information, particularly in the field of secretarial administration and management. This research project focuses on the implementation of a Digital Document Management System (DDMS) to enhance efficiency in secretarial practices. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of adopting a DDMS on the efficiency and effectiveness of secretarial tasks within organizations. The research begins with a comprehensive review of the current literature on digital document management systems and their relevance to secretarial administration and management. The review highlights the benefits and challenges associated with the implementation of such systems, as well as the key features that contribute to improved efficiency in document handling. The methodology employed in this research involves a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. Data will be collected through interviews, surveys, and document analysis to gather insights from secretarial staff, managers, and IT professionals regarding their experiences with DDMS implementation. The findings of this study are expected to provide valuable insights into the impact of DDMS on secretarial efficiency, as well as the factors that contribute to successful implementation. The results will be presented in a detailed analysis in Chapter Four, highlighting the key findings and their implications for practice. Overall, this research project aims to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on digital document management systems in the context of secretarial administration and management. By exploring the benefits and challenges of implementing a DDMS, this study seeks to provide practical recommendations for organizations looking to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness in document handling.
