The project will investigate the origins, meanings, and symbolism behind various rituals such as the Saptapadi (seven steps), Kanyadaan (giving away the bride), and Mangal Pheras (circling the sacred fire) to understand their significance in Hindu marriage ceremonies. Furthermore, the study will explore the role of rituals in reinforcing cultural values, strengthening family ties, and symbolizing the union of two individuals in marriage according to Hindu beliefs.
