This research project presents a comprehensive investigation into the comparative study of rituals and symbolism in different religious traditions. The study aims to explore and analyze the diverse practices and symbolic representations within various religious contexts, with a focus on identifying similarities, differences, and underlying meanings. Through a multidisciplinary approach drawing on religious and cultural studies, anthropology, and sociology, this research seeks to shed light on the significance and functions of rituals and symbolism in shaping religious beliefs, practices, and identities. The research begins with an introduction that sets the context for the study, providing background information on the importance of rituals and symbolism in religious traditions. The problem statement highlights the need to understand the role of rituals and symbolism in different religions to promote interfaith dialogue and mutual understanding. The objectives of the study include examining the similarities and differences in rituals and symbolism across various religious traditions, identifying the cultural and historical contexts that shape these practices, and analyzing the symbolic meanings attributed to different rituals. Chapter Two consists of a comprehensive literature review that explores existing scholarship on rituals and symbolism in various religious traditions, highlighting key concepts, theories, and debates in the field. Chapter Three details the research methodology, outlining the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis procedures. The chapter discusses the ethical considerations and challenges encountered during the research process, ensuring the validity and reliability of the study findings. Chapter Four presents the detailed analysis of the research findings, examining the similarities and differences in rituals and symbolism across different religious traditions and interpreting the symbolic meanings embedded in these practices.
