This research project presents a comparative analysis of rituals in Hinduism and Buddhism, two major world religions with rich traditions and practices. The study aims to explore the similarities and differences in the rituals observed by followers of these religions, shedding light on the cultural, historical, and philosophical contexts that shape these practices. Through a thorough examination of relevant literature, this research seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the significance and symbolism of rituals in Hinduism and Buddhism. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study and presenting the problem statement, research objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and key definitions of terms. Chapter Two consists of a detailed literature review that examines existing scholarship on rituals in Hinduism and Buddhism, highlighting key themes, theories, and findings from previous studies.
