This research project delves into the influence of globalization on traditional religious practices within a specific cultural context. Globalization, characterized by the interconnectedness and interdependence of nations, has significantly impacted various aspects of society, including religion. Traditional religious practices that have been integral to the cultural identity and values of communities are increasingly facing challenges and transformations due to the forces of globalization. This study aims to explore these dynamics through a case study approach focusing on a particular culture, examining how globalization has influenced and reshaped traditional religious beliefs, rituals, and structures. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, offering background information on the intersection of globalization and traditional religious practices. The chapter includes a problem statement highlighting the need to understand the implications of globalization on cultural and religious heritage, followed by the objectives of the study, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms.
