Blockchain technology has emerged as a disruptive force in various industries, offering transparency, security, and efficiency in processes. This research project focuses on the implementation of blockchain technology in supply chain management within the manufacturing industry. The aim is to investigate how blockchain can enhance the transparency, traceability, and overall efficiency of supply chain operations in a manufacturing setting. The research begins with an introduction that provides a background of the study, highlights the problem statement, outlines the objectives, discusses the limitations and scope of the study, and emphasizes the significance of implementing blockchain in supply chain management. The structure of the research is also presented to guide the reader through the study. Chapter two of the research comprises a comprehensive literature review that explores the existing knowledge and research on the application of blockchain technology in supply chain management. This chapter discusses key concepts related to blockchain, supply chain management, and their intersection, providing insights into the potential benefits and challenges of adopting blockchain in the manufacturing supply chain. Chapter three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis procedures. The chapter also discusses the ethical considerations and limitations of the research methodology. In chapter four, the findings of the research are presented and discussed in detail. This chapter explores how blockchain technology can address the challenges faced in traditional supply chain management within the manufacturing industry. The findings highlight the benefits of blockchain in enhancing transparency, reducing fraud, improving traceability, and optimizing supply chain processes. Finally, chapter five provides a conclusion and summary of the research project.
