Effective purchasing planning and control are critical components in the operations of manufacturing organizations as they directly impact the overall performance and competitiveness of the firm. This research project focuses on investigating the impact of purchasing planning and control in a manufacturing organization, using Anammico in Enugu as a case study. The study aims to analyze how Anammico's purchasing planning and control practices influence its operational efficiency, cost management, and overall performance. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. Interviews with key personnel in the purchasing and supply chain departments at Anammico will provide insights into the current purchasing planning and control strategies in place. Additionally, surveys and questionnaires will be distributed to employees across different departments to gather data on their perceptions of the effectiveness of the organization's purchasing processes. Through the analysis of data collected from Anammico, this research seeks to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the current purchasing planning and control practices within the organization. By comparing these findings with established best practices in the field, recommendations for improvement will be developed to enhance Anammico's purchasing operations. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on purchasing planning and control in manufacturing organizations. By providing a detailed case study analysis of Anammico, this project aims to offer valuable insights for both academics and practitioners in the field of supply chain management. The practical implications of the research will benefit Anammico by highlighting areas for potential enhancement in their purchasing processes, leading to improved operational efficiency and cost savings.
