The advent of information and communication technologies has revolutionized the way governments interact with citizens, leading to the emergence of e-government services aimed at enhancing citizen engagement. This research investigates the impact of e-government services on citizen engagement in local governments. The study aims to explore how the utilization of e-government platforms influences citizen participation, feedback mechanisms, and overall engagement with local government services. The research methodology includes a comprehensive literature review to analyze existing studies on e-government, citizen engagement, and related concepts. A mixed-methods approach will be used, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods to gather insights from citizens and government officials. The data will be analyzed using statistical tools and thematic analysis to identify patterns and trends in citizen engagement levels before and after the implementation of e-government services. The findings of this study are expected to provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of e-government services in enhancing citizen engagement at the local government level. The research will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on e-government and citizen engagement, offering practical recommendations for policymakers and government officials to improve the design and implementation of e-government initiatives.
