This research project focuses on the implementation of e-Government services to enhance citizen participation in local governance. The aim is to explore how the adoption of e-Government platforms can facilitate greater engagement, transparency, and efficiency in the governance process, particularly at the local level. The research begins with an introduction that highlights the significance of e-Government in improving citizen-government interactions and the need to enhance citizen participation in local governance. The background of the study provides a contextual overview of the evolution of e-Government services and the challenges faced by traditional governance systems. The problem statement identifies the gaps in citizen participation and governance effectiveness that e-Government initiatives aim to address. The objectives of the study are to assess the impact of e-Government implementation on citizen participation, analyze the benefits and limitations of e-Government services in local governance, and propose strategies for optimizing citizen engagement through digital platforms.
