Digital transformation has become a key driver in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of public service delivery across various government departments. This research project aims to investigate the impact of digital transformation on public service delivery within a specific government department, with a focus on identifying the challenges, opportunities, and outcomes associated with this transformation. The study will utilize a case study methodology to provide an in-depth analysis of the digital initiatives implemented by the selected government department and their effects on service delivery. Chapter one of the research project provides an introduction to the topic, background information on digital transformation in public administration, a clear problem statement, research objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms. Chapter two presents a comprehensive literature review that examines existing studies, theories, and models related to digital transformation in public service delivery. The literature review will cover ten key areas, including the benefits, challenges, best practices, and success factors of digital transformation in the public sector. Chapter three outlines the research methodology, detailing the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and limitations. This chapter will provide a clear framework for conducting the case study and analyzing the impact of digital transformation on public service delivery within the specific government department. Chapter four presents the findings of the research, discussing the key insights, trends, challenges, and outcomes identified through the case study analysis.
