This research study investigates the implementation of Performance Management Systems (PMS) in local government agencies, with a focus on a specific case study. The objective is to analyze the challenges, benefits, and overall impact of introducing PMS in the context of local governance. The study delves into the theoretical foundations of performance management, examining how it can enhance accountability, transparency, and efficiency within government organizations. Through a detailed case study approach, the research explores the practical application of PMS in a real-world setting, aiming to provide insights into the key factors influencing successful implementation. The research begins with an exploration of the background of the study, contextualizing the importance of performance management in the public sector. It identifies the problem statement, highlighting the existing gaps and issues that necessitate the adoption of PMS in local government agencies.
