Project Abstract

Abstract
Cardiovascular diseases are a leading cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide, with sedentary lifestyles being a significant contributing factor. This comparative study aims to investigate the impact of exercise on cardiovascular health in sedentary individuals. The research will explore the potential benefits of exercise in improving cardiovascular parameters such as blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol levels, and overall cardiovascular fitness. The study will be conducted on a sample of sedentary individuals aged between 25-45 years, who will be divided into two groups an exercise intervention group and a control group. The exercise intervention group will participate in a structured exercise program for a period of 12 weeks, while the control group will maintain their sedentary lifestyle. Pre- and post-assessment measurements will be taken for both groups to compare changes in cardiovascular health parameters. Chapter one of the research will provide an introduction to the study, background information on cardiovascular diseases and the importance of exercise in preventing them, a problem statement highlighting the lack of physical activity among sedentary individuals, research objectives focusing on assessing the impact of exercise on cardiovascular health, limitations and scope of the study, significance of the research in improving public health, the structure of the research, and definitions of key terms used. Chapter two will present a comprehensive literature review covering ten key studies on the relationship between exercise and cardiovascular health in sedentary individuals. This review will synthesize existing research findings, identify gaps in the literature, and provide a theoretical framework for the current study. Chapter three will outline the research methodology, including the study design, participant recruitment criteria, data collection methods, exercise intervention protocol, control group procedures, data analysis techniques, ethical considerations, and potential limitations of the methodology. Chapter four will present the detailed findings of the study, including changes in cardiovascular parameters observed in the exercise intervention group compared to the control group. The discussion will analyze the implications of these findings, compare them to existing research, and explore the potential mechanisms underlying the observed effects of exercise on cardiovascular health. Chapter five will conclude the research by summarizing the key findings, discussing their practical implications for public health interventions targeting sedentary individuals, highlighting the limitations of the study, suggesting areas for future research, and providing recommendations for promoting physical activity to improve cardiovascular health in sedentary populations. In conclusion, this comparative study on the impact of exercise on cardiovascular health in sedentary individuals aims to contribute valuable insights to the field of preventive cardiology and promote the adoption of regular physical activity as a means to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases in sedentary populations.
