Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly being integrated into various aspects of society, including decision-making processes in areas such as healthcare, finance, and criminal justice. This research project delves into the ethical implications of using AI in decision-making processes, focusing on the potential benefits and challenges that arise. The study aims to critically analyze the ethical considerations surrounding the use of AI in decision-making, exploring issues such as bias, accountability, transparency, and the impact on human autonomy and responsibility. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review, analyzing existing research on the ethics of AI in decision-making processes. The review covers ten key themes, including ethical frameworks, bias in AI algorithms, accountability mechanisms, and societal implications of AI-driven decisions. In Chapter Three, the research methodology is detailed, outlining the approach taken to investigate the ethical considerations of AI in decision-making.
