Cancer remains a significant global health challenge, with conventional treatment options often associated with adverse side effects due to non-specific targeting of healthy tissues. The development of novel drug delivery systems for targeted cancer therapy has emerged as a promising approach to enhance treatment efficacy while minimizing off-target effects. This research project aims to explore the design, development, and evaluation of innovative drug delivery systems tailored for precise targeting of cancer cells. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, discussing the background of the study, the problem statement, research objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. The chapter sets the foundation for understanding the importance of developing targeted drug delivery systems for cancer therapy. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review encompassing ten key areas related to drug delivery systems for cancer therapy. This section evaluates existing research, technologies, and approaches in the field, highlighting the current challenges and opportunities for enhancing targeted drug delivery to cancer cells. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, detailing the experimental design, materials, and methods utilized for the development and evaluation of novel drug delivery systems. This chapter provides insights into the processes involved in designing targeted delivery systems and assessing their efficacy in delivering therapeutic agents to cancer cells.
