Chronic pain is a complex and debilitating condition that affects millions of individuals worldwide, leading to significant suffering and impaired quality of life. Traditional drug delivery systems often fail to provide adequate relief for chronic pain due to issues such as inconsistent drug release, limited bioavailability, and side effects. In response to these challenges, the development and evaluation of novel drug delivery systems have emerged as a promising approach to improve the treatment of chronic pain. This research project aims to investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of new drug delivery systems in enhancing the management of chronic pain. The study will focus on designing, synthesizing, and evaluating innovative drug delivery platforms that can provide sustained and targeted delivery of analgesic agents to specific pain sites, thereby maximizing therapeutic efficacy while minimizing adverse effects. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key aspects related to drug delivery systems for chronic pain management, highlighting current challenges and recent advancements in the field. Chapter 3 details the research methodology, including the experimental design, materials and methods, data collection techniques, and data analysis procedures.
