The treatment of cancer has been a major focus of research and development in the field of pharmacy. The conventional methods of cancer treatment, such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy, often come with significant side effects and limitations. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the development of novel drug delivery systems that can improve the effectiveness and reduce the side effects of cancer treatment. This research project aims to explore the potential of novel drug delivery systems for improved cancer treatment. Chapter One of the research project provides an introduction to the topic, including background information on the current state of cancer treatment, the problem statement addressing the limitations of existing treatment methods, the objectives of the study, the limitations and scope of the research, the significance of the study, the structure of the research, and the definition of key terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review on drug delivery systems for cancer treatment. This chapter explores various types of drug delivery systems, including nanoparticles, liposomes, micelles, and hydrogels, and discusses their potential advantages and limitations in improving cancer treatment outcomes. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology used in this study. The methodology includes the selection of appropriate drug delivery systems, the design of experiments to evaluate their efficacy, the methods of drug loading and release, and the in vitro and in vivo testing procedures. Chapter Four presents a detailed discussion of the findings from the research.
