Cancer remains one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, necessitating the continuous advancement of treatment strategies to improve patient outcomes. The development of novel drug delivery systems for targeted cancer therapy represents a promising approach to enhance the efficacy and reduce the side effects of anticancer drugs. This research project aims to explore the design and implementation of innovative drug delivery systems tailored specifically for targeting cancer cells while sparing healthy tissues. Chapter One provides a comprehensive introduction to the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms. The introduction sets the stage by highlighting the critical need for more effective and targeted cancer therapies. Chapter Two comprises a detailed literature review that examines previous studies, current trends, and advancements in drug delivery systems for cancer therapy. The review covers various aspects such as nanotechnology, targeted drug delivery, biocompatibility, and the challenges associated with existing treatment modalities.
