Enhanced Oil Recovery Techniques (EOR) play a crucial role in extracting additional hydrocarbons from mature oil fields, thereby maximizing reservoir productivity and prolonging the economic life of these fields. This research project focuses on conducting a comparative study of various EOR techniques to identify the most efficient method for enhancing oil recovery in mature oil fields. The study aims to provide valuable insights and recommendations for oil and gas companies operating in mature fields to optimize production and maximize resource utilization. The introductory chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of terms. Chapter two presents a detailed literature review covering ten key aspects related to EOR techniques, including their principles, applications, advantages, and limitations. This section aims to establish a solid theoretical foundation for the subsequent analysis and discussion. Chapter three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, comprising eight essential components such as data collection methods, sampling techniques, experimental design, and data analysis procedures.
