The global demand for energy continues to rise, necessitating the optimization of oil production from mature oilfields through enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques. This research project delves into the comparative study of various EOR techniques to maximize oil recovery in mature oilfields. The study aims to investigate the effectiveness of different EOR methods, including chemical flooding, gas injection, and thermal methods, in enhancing oil recovery rates and extending the economic life of mature oil reservoirs. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, the problem statement, research objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key aspects related to EOR techniques, their applications, advantages, and limitations in mature oilfields. Chapter Three details the research methodology, including research design, data collection methods, data analysis techniques, sampling procedures, and the theoretical framework employed in the study. It also discusses the selection criteria for oilfields, data sources, and the comparative analysis approach to be used in evaluating EOR techniques.
