Abstract
This research study focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of telemedicine in managing pediatric asthma through a randomized controlled trial. Pediatric asthma is a prevalent chronic respiratory condition affecting a significant proportion of children worldwide. The use of telemedicine in healthcare has gained momentum in recent years, offering remote patient monitoring and consultation services. However, its specific impact on managing pediatric asthma remains underexplored, particularly in the context of a controlled trial. The research aims to address this gap by conducting a randomized controlled trial to assess the effectiveness of telemedicine in managing pediatric asthma. The study will involve recruiting a sample of pediatric asthma patients and dividing them into two groups one receiving standard care and the other receiving telemedicine interventions in addition to standard care. The outcomes of interest include asthma control, medication adherence, quality of life, healthcare utilization, and parental satisfaction. The literature review explores existing research on telemedicine in pediatric asthma management, highlighting the potential benefits and challenges associated with its implementation. The research methodology section outlines the study design, participant selection criteria, intervention protocols, data collection methods, and statistical analysis plan. The discussion of findings chapter presents the results of the trial, comparing outcomes between the two groups and discussing the implications for pediatric asthma management.
