Telemedicine has emerged as a promising tool in healthcare delivery, offering opportunities to overcome barriers in accessing care, particularly for pediatric patients with chronic conditions such as asthma. This research project investigates the effectiveness of telemedicine in managing pediatric asthma care. The study aims to evaluate the impact of telemedicine interventions on asthma management outcomes, patient satisfaction, and healthcare utilization among pediatric patients with asthma. The research begins with a comprehensive review of the existing literature on telemedicine in pediatric asthma care. This review synthesizes current knowledge on the use of telemedicine technologies, such as remote monitoring devices and virtual consultations, in managing pediatric asthma. The literature review highlights the potential benefits and challenges of implementing telemedicine in pediatric asthma care, setting the stage for the empirical investigation. The research methodology involves a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of patient data and qualitative assessment of patient and provider experiences with telemedicine interventions. Data will be collected from a sample of pediatric patients with asthma who receive care through telemedicine platforms, as well as healthcare providers who deliver telemedicine services. The study will assess key asthma management outcomes, such as symptom control, medication adherence, and healthcare utilization rates, comparing outcomes between telemedicine and traditional care approaches.
