Abstract
Telemedicine has emerged as a promising solution to improve healthcare delivery, particularly in the field of pediatrics. This research study aims to investigate the impact of telemedicine on pediatric healthcare outcomes through a systematic review and meta-analysis. The growing prevalence of telemedicine in pediatric care settings necessitates an in-depth examination of its effectiveness in improving health outcomes for children. The first step of this study involves conducting a comprehensive literature review to identify relevant studies that have explored the use of telemedicine in pediatric healthcare. The review will encompass studies published in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and grey literature sources. Ten key themes will be identified from the literature to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of telemedicine in pediatric care. In the subsequent phase, the research methodology will be outlined, detailing the criteria for study selection, data extraction process, and quality assessment of included studies. The meta-analysis will synthesize the findings from selected studies to quantitatively assess the impact of telemedicine on various pediatric healthcare outcomes, such as patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, cost-effectiveness, and access to care. The discussion of findings in Chapter Four will analyze the results of the meta-analysis and interpret the implications of telemedicine on pediatric healthcare outcomes. The discussion will explore the strengths and limitations of telemedicine interventions, identify potential barriers to implementation, and offer recommendations for future research and practice in this area. The conclusion and summary in Chapter Five will provide a comprehensive overview of the research findings, highlighting the key implications for pediatric healthcare practice and policy. The study will conclude with a discussion of the significance of the findings and their potential to inform decision-making processes in pediatric telemedicine initiatives. Overall, this research study aims to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on telemedicine in pediatric healthcare by providing a systematic review and meta-analysis of the impact of telemedicine interventions on pediatric healthcare outcomes.
