Pediatric asthma is a prevalent chronic condition that affects children worldwide, leading to significant morbidity and healthcare utilization. Telemedicine has emerged as a promising tool for managing chronic diseases, offering opportunities to improve access to care, enhance patient education, and optimize disease management remotely. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of telemedicine in managing pediatric asthma through a comparative analysis with traditional in-person care. The research will be structured as a comparative study, utilizing a mixed-methods approach to assess the outcomes of telemedicine interventions in pediatric asthma management. The study will involve a cohort of pediatric patients diagnosed with asthma, who will be divided into two groups one receiving care through telemedicine and the other receiving traditional in-person care. The study will evaluate various parameters, including asthma control, medication adherence, healthcare utilization, quality of life, and parental satisfaction. The literature review will explore the current landscape of telemedicine in pediatric asthma management, highlighting the existing evidence on the effectiveness of telemedicine interventions in improving asthma outcomes in children. The review will also address the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing telemedicine in pediatric asthma care. The research methodology will detail the study design, participant recruitment, data collection methods, and statistical analysis plan.
