The implementation of telemedicine in pediatric care has the potential to address the challenges faced in providing healthcare services to children in rural areas. This research project focuses on exploring the feasibility and effectiveness of telemedicine in improving access to quality healthcare for pediatric patients residing in remote and underserved regions. The study aims to investigate how telemedicine technology can be leveraged to overcome geographical barriers and enhance healthcare delivery for children in rural areas. Chapter 1 provides a comprehensive introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. The chapter sets the foundation for understanding the importance of implementing telemedicine in pediatric care within rural settings. Chapter 2 consists of a thorough literature review that examines existing research, theories, and practices related to telemedicine in pediatric care and its application in rural areas. The review encompasses ten key areas, including the benefits of telemedicine, challenges faced in rural healthcare, technological advancements, and best practices in telehealth services for pediatric patients. Chapter 3 details the research methodology employed in this study, highlighting the approach, research design, sampling techniques, data collection methods, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and potential limitations. This chapter provides insight into the systematic process followed to investigate the implementation of telemedicine for pediatric care in rural areas. In Chapter 4, the findings of the research are discussed in depth, focusing on seven key areas that emerged from the data analysis. The chapter presents a comprehensive analysis of the impact of telemedicine on pediatric healthcare in rural areas, including the effectiveness of teleconsultations, patient outcomes, healthcare provider perspectives, and system usability.
