Project Abstract

This study was carried out to examine the challenges of office management technology profession in the modern technology era using Union Bank of Nigeria Plc. To achieve this objective, three research questions were formulated to guide the study. The data was collected from primary sources. The primary data were collected with the help of a well-structured questionnaire of two sections administered to staff and management of Union Bank of Nigeria Plc. The collected data were analyzed with tables and simple percentages to analyze the research questions. The study reveals modern technology poses challenges to secretarial performance and productivity; office management technology profession who had no previous experience skill in the manipulation of modern technology have     challenges and office management technology profession exposed to training and retraining. The study concluded with some recommendations that business should procure managers to increase productivity, and       to stay abreast of modern way of conducting business.
