Telehealth, the use of digital technologies to deliver remote healthcare services, has gained significant attention in recent years due to its potential to improve access to care, especially in rural areas. This research project aims to explore the impact of telehealth on patient care in a rural community setting. The study will investigate how telehealth interventions affect various aspects of patient care, including access to healthcare services, quality of care, patient outcomes, and patient satisfaction. The research will be guided by a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis and qualitative research methods. A sample of patients, healthcare providers, and administrators from rural healthcare facilities will be recruited to participate in the study. Data will be collected through surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions to gather insights into the experiences and perceptions of telehealth in the rural community setting. The literature review will provide a comprehensive overview of existing research on telehealth and its impact on patient care. Key themes to be explored include the benefits and challenges of telehealth implementation, factors influencing patient acceptance and adoption of telehealth services, and best practices for successful telehealth programs in rural areas.
